After numerous delays and rumblings that the local elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina could actually be canceled, a new date of November 15, 2020, has been set. During my recent conversation with Mirsad Hadzikadic, we discussed the significance of this new development amidst all of the recent controversies. He also shared that after a twelve-year absence local elections will be held in Mostar, the fifth largest city, on December 20. The Platform for Progress has been adamant in its demands that the elections once again be held and organized several peaceful protest walks over the last several weeks to voice those concerns.
