With the general elections just over two months away in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the final candidate lists are being submitted to the Bosnian Central Electoral Commission. The commission will then determine how all of the candidates’ names will appear on the ballot for the October election. The president of the Platform for Progress, Mirsad Hakžikadić, says just by the luck of the draw, it appears his name will be first among the candidates running for the Bosniak Presidential Council seat. Such was the case back in 2018 as well. Hadžikadić spoke with me about how the overall campaign is shaping up. He also shared his thoughts about another recent memorial service held to pay respect to those who lost their lives in the 1995 genocide.
